My name is Charlie. I'm a purveyor of attention.

I hang my hat at Curve Detroit, a mid-sized marketing strategy and creative design firm. I recently put together the first TEDxDetroit innovation conference and I helped create the 5,000 person strong Motor City Connect, a social network for business professionals. I know a thing or two about business, branding and marketing. I'm known for shaking things up a bit at conferences and board rooms with my unusual keynote presentations.

My mind works like a swirling vortex. Every minute or two, a giant Mickey Mouse white gloved hand reaches in and pulls out a random thought. Sometimes, they are interesting. I often post them here.

I just finished battling it out in the PowerPoint Karaoke World Finals. What the heck is PowerPoint Karaoke, you ask? It's a popular sideshow at all the big tech conferences. Contestants deliver a PowerPoint presentation about an unfamiliar topic, with slides they've never seen, to an audience eager to heckle and laugh at them.
